I’m heartbroken to hear about my friend Gerry (Zippy) Pineda. I met Gerry when I was in the Navy. When I got onto my ship, I was very young and so was Gerry… when I first got on I wasn’t treated very well but Gerry was always a friend, we went out and did a lot of crazy things together with friends from the ship… Gerry was smaller, but tougher than all of us… always laughing, always friendly, unless we were in a fight with other ships personnel, then Gerry was a tiger!… It was always all in fun… I was just speaking about him 2 days ago with one of my co-workers, laughing at some of the situations we created… even though I haven’t seen Gerry personally in years Gerry, he will always live in my heart in the category of best friends… My condolences to his family… Gerry was one of the good guys
You’re going to be missed Zippy…
You were a Great guy, a Great shipmate and most of all a Great friend. We had some Hilarious and Fun times while onboard the USS Bradley.
I’m so glad I stopped by Loveland in 2018 and stayed a couple of days with you and your wife… Your friendship will be cherished forever brother.
