Gerald “Gerry” Wayne Pineda passed away at the age of 59 in Folsom California in the year of our Lord 2021 14th January.
Gerry was born in Ft Collins Colorado at Poudre Valley Hospital on July 24th 1961. Gerry is survived by his wife, Paulene Roberts; his dad, John and his wife Marilyn of Loveland; siblings- John/Teresa, Loveland, Karen/Craig, Ft Collins. and Christopher, Omaha Neb.; nephew and nieces – John B, Amanda, Savannah, Emily, Mikayla, Kaitlyn.
He Graduated Loveland High School and joined the U.S. Navy in 1979, serving 4 years. He worked for Kodak of Colorado for 20 years and then followed his sense of adventure, working for Raytheon Polar Services in Antarctica where he met the apple of his eye and love of his life Paulene Roberts. They were married on December 13, 2014 on a mountain near Rocky Mountain National Park. (Gerry’s uncle Wayne used to chide him ” who other than Gerry could go to one of the most godforsaken places on earth and bring back a beautiful girl!”) There they started their life’s journey as world travelers, they loved to scuba dive, hike/bike/climb Colorado 14ers/ski/ golf and just enjoyed being with one another and enjoying life. Together they went into the field of Risk Engineering that moved them to Folsom, California in 2020 where they continued to explore and travel.
Tragically his life was cut short, by covid19. He will be dearly missed by many family members and many more close friends in many places. Written by John Pineda.
Graveside service was held July 23, 2021 at Rest Haven Memory Gardens.
